It's nearly the end of the week and it's been a good one!

This morning Kevin Ritchie and I went to Parkdale to do a photo shoot for the next Big Primpin' flyer (I'll post it here in the next couple of days) and stopped into our favorite haunt the Beaver for a morning coffee. Our delicious friends Kim and Gentleman Reg were working, so we had a little catch up over an Americano and proceeded to Parkdale for our shoot.

We then walked past an X-tra magazine box on Queen West and there was sweet Reg on the  cover, story by Kevin! And featured in the Xposed! section you will find my makeup on David Tomlinson for the play She Walks the Line and I'm in drag at the bottom of the page as Militia Milano with Mary Messhausen and Produzentin. It was as though X-tra had come to life and was on Queen West all morning!

Reg is also featured on iTunes this week, so all you lucky Canadians download his free single of the week 'How We Exit'.

Last night I did an event with sweespot.ca at This Is London which was great fun. Myself and my two girls Stef and Alex worked under my company Mme. as Sweetspot's Lip Gloss Lounge. You can have a look at the Mme. page which is still under major construction here

www.margotmakeupexperience.com

Mme. is specifically made for the bridal market and features pictures of real women who've enjoyed the Margot Makeup Experience!

And if you haven't checked out Sweetspot before, do it right now!

My wonderful friend and fellow makeup artist, Elise Tremblay co-ordinates many of the amazing events with Sweetspot. Here we are enjoying ourselves last night!

I also did a photo shoot with the incredibly talented Gartina for her album cover this week, but I can't leak photo's! I'd just like to say Justin Borbely, Gartina and I did a great job, if I do say so myself!

And to end this post I'm going to give you another Amber Rose and Kanye pic.

Amber Rose Kanye West

I love her! Have a look at this old Zhane hit - she looks like a member!

Has anyone heard of Amber Rose? Me neither, but she is Kanye's new arm candy and is the self proclaimed 'model who convinced Rhianna to cut her hair'. What do you think of her? She's a little tranny, ok a lot, but I like it! I have always wanted those spandex looking jeans. Does anyone know where to get them?

Kanye's latest video was released yesterday as well. What do you think?

Also, one of my greatest beauty inspirations, Ru Paul released her new video today. It's been a while for Ru Paul, but I'm happy to see her doing so well with her new show Drag Race (which I haven't seen yet!) and now her new single. She's bringing it back to the Supermodel roots!

I'll be djing a party called Cover Girl (ironically Ru Paul's single was released today, perfect timing for my party!) at the Beaver on Queen West Tuesday February 24th with Shane McKinnon. Come by and listen to covers all night long!

Also, look for some images from the fabulous Eva Christina/Hot Nuts event that happened over the Family Day weekend upcoming in Fab and X-tra magazine. For those of you who can handle a little adult content, check out Produzentin''s page for some great photo's.

I've added one of Produzentin (who I created the super pink look for), myself and the amazing Mary Messhausen.. Another wonderful evening of layered wigs and dazzling company!

Next week I'll have my Oscar makeup breakdown's! What's good, what's bad and what do we want to recreate?

Til then,

Margot xo

I saw this great slideshow on TMZ and had to share! I always let people know that the key to Zac Efron's amazing eyes is his individually applied eyelashes. You get a great look at them here.

one of my favorite youtube drag video's by Tom Rubnitz is playing tonight! Check out the Lady Bunny blog for more details! WARNING: major adult themes on the Lady Bunny blog! Not for all ages!

If you haven't seen any Tom Rubnitz, check out one of my favorite drag inspiration video's by Tom below.

This week has been crazy busy doing makeup for the play She Walks The Line at Buddies In Badtimes Theater. It ends on Sunday, but if you have a chance you should take your Valentine to see it! Who doesn't love some drag for Valentines?

I also had the chance to style and do makeup for the talented and charming Rebecca Eckler. She was attending the Book Lovers Ball and she looked stunning! We did a simple smokey eye, by just using eyeliner on top and underneath of the eye, with no harsh eyeshadow colours. I used MAC lusterglass in Flashmode to compliment her beautiful Robert Rodriguez dress. She looked perfect!

I also dj'ed a private birthday party for a film producer yesterday which was soo fun! 80's themed, always a favorite!

My makeup was inspired by Lady Bunny. What do you think?Margot the DJ

My tip of the day for any aspiring queens: use socks underneath your wigs to get great volume! I hade four in there!

Also, a big shout out to the lovely Jeremy Laing who is showing his latest collection in NYC this week. I had a sneak preview and thought the look was fabulously tranny cop! I love his fashions and he's an absolute sweet heart  as well!!!!

More to come! Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Hearts,
