Swine Flu is not funny, but these commercials are!

Creepy, no?

So, put your face masks on and  come out for Big Primpin' tomorrow night! Don't expect me to kiss you though!

I was deeply saddened this weekend to learn my favorite Golden Girl Bea Arthur passed away. She was 86 years old and battling cancer. She was a very gifted comedian and feminist who will be dearly missed.

This was the last interview I saw with Bea for the DVD release of Maude on the View.

This parody of Sex and the City starring Bea, Edna Garret from Facts of Life and Mona from Who's the Boss?. So funny!

Thanks so much for being who you were, Bea! I've loved the Golden Girls since I was a kid and you've been an inspiration for me. Bea Arthur

Kanye dropped his new single for Amazing last week, which has kind of somber feel and has been my Bea grieving song. The video is quite beautiful as well.  I love the landscapes.

I did makeup for a Grand Analog video yesterday. It was really fun, great crew, comedic concept and the makeup was really fun - I got to do a bit of aging and a moustache application. Woo! Check Grand Analog out:

The month of May will be an exciting one. I will be at Big Primpin' this Friday, performing at Buddies in Badtimes for the ReVue on May 8th and doing another Covergirl party at the Beaver on May 12th. Lots of parties for all to attend!

Enjoy the Bea I posted and make it out for some of the exciting events coming up in May!

Well, that's what MAC has to say about Spring/Summer makeup for 2009.

I do like the natural look and that the word 'organic' is thrown around.  I am very excited about the skincare and makeup line myself and my agent, Donna are working on! We had another meeting today and let me tell you, y'all are going to want a piece of this!

And, check this before they pull it! Lindsay on Ellen.....girl has got to pull herself together! She doesn't seem together at all. She seems sober, but sort of hungover. I relate to what she's saying about relationships, afterall, we are both Cancer's! Good luck, Lindsay!

And check out the vintage Lohan. She has changed! Where did her boobs go???

Working on a music video this weekend and off to 7th Heaven at Wrongbar tomorrow night! Hope y'all get to enjoy an amazing weekend too!!!

So, I'm sure you've all seen or read about this already, but really, who cares about what this beauty pagaent contestant has to say anyway? Isn't it weird that such an outdated, offensive pageant is still going on and with so much media coverage? What sort of answer do you expect from this kind of woman?

I think Wanda Sykes got it right!

I hope that when I provide makeup services for people they understand that beauty is inside and out. I really have never enjoyed the pagaent style of beauty and only had to do makeup for one pagaent (thank God!) and the contestants were a nightmare to deal with. They were insecure, vain, competitive and generally unpleasant.

When I think of all the beautiful lawyers, doctors, actresses, musicians, writers, mothers and others I have gotten to do makeup for over the years, I feel incredibly proud that there are so many women doing so well for themselves, taking pride in their appearance and knowing  who they are. For me makeup has  always been about showing people on the outside, what you feel like inside, not masking yourself to parade around for acceptance. You know what I have to say about this stupid Miss America scandal? The real scandal is that we are still objectifying women in this way, not that someone as insecure and vain as this particular contestant said something which is offensive to human rights. I feel so lucky to live in Toronto, where we can be who we want to be and marry who we love.

For real beauty, check out my gf Amber Rose in the new LV ad with Kanye.

And, I know I've been slow on the blog, but in case you were in a cave somewhere over the past week, check out LiLo's fake eHarmony ad. I think she comes across as rather desperate and not particularly funny, but I still love it. She'll grow out of this insanity, we've all had some hard partying days, and if we haven't, we should!

In beauty news, I am working hard towards creating my own skin care line with Agency Vert's, Donna Bishop. We had an amazing class yesterday and are working towards formulations, so check back for our product which will be available for sale off of my website and Agency Vert's. In the mean time, I have found a new moisturizer that is natural, light, but hydrating that I LOVE. It is based on the same sort of science as L'or De Vie by Dior, but is a much more reasonable price (between $20 and $30 at most health food stores). It has an intense grape extract which is very high in antioxidants. Great to protect and encourage skin renewal.

Covergirl was a great success and I would like to thank Kevin Ritchie for such an amazing set. I will be doing more through the summer, so keep your eyes peeled for the next hot poster. I'll be featuring guest dj's and my very special next guest is DJ OMGBLOG. We're going to have a pop princess theme! Know of any great covers? Email me info@margot.ca

with any hot tips! I will also be hosting the Pride Kick Off at Woody's June 19th, so get ready for hot tranny times!

I"m pleased to share last nights episode of South Park featuring Kanye West with you today! Kanye posted on his blog that he is going to try to not be such a douche after seeing this episode. I didn't really like this episode, but I love South Park and Kanye, so here ya go.

If you are in Toronto there are two great parties happening tonight - the lovely and talented Eunice is celebrating her birthday at Wrongbar with Produzentin djing, and Eva Christina Presents will be happening at Straight on Church Street.
