Today we have a fantastic Queen who has been around for ions, though you can't tell to look at her. We have Ms. Michelle DuBarry, who's Queen of the Toronto royalty scene!

Miss Margot - Who are your drag inspirations?

Michelle DuBarry -I go back a bit to English movies of guys playing female parts, 1949, The Jewel Box Revue in niagara falls ,NY. the 50s Murray Burbidge making the first dresses for me for parties & halloween, Being in weekly drag shows at the 519 under the boss & owner Ray Merkin in the 60s,etc. He taught disipline, shows on time, etc.

Miss Margot - What piece of advice would you give to new Queens?
Ms. DuBarry - A piece of advice for new beginners?  Hmmm, wear a waist cinch, nothing worse than a tight dress showing the love handles.

Miss Margot - I couldn't agree more - tell that to the chola's around town too - cover up those muffin tops over your ill fitting jeans! Lastly, where can we find you?

Ms. DuBarry - I have the honor of being asked by Keith Cole to be in his show at Buddies sept. 11th., 11pm. Otherwise I'm always out for our court fund-raising shows usually at Play Bar.

Just in time for Friday night's party, I have a few words with Fay Slift, Toronto's premiere bear drag queen. She was a staple at the Gaza Strip at Buddies in Badtimes theatre, and now she's performing at many hot parties all over the city.

Miss Margot - Miss Slift, who are your drag inspirations?

Fay Slift - I'm inspired by Shelley Duvall, Divine, Little Edie and Judy Holiday.

Miss Margot - How long does it take a fine gal like yourself to get ready for a night on the town?

Fay Slift - Makeup, outfit, and hair do is about an hour, everything else just comes together so effortlessly.

Miss Margot - Wow, it takes me 3 hours just to choose my weave for the day! Lastly, where can we find you?

Fay Slift - I will be performing at Foxhole on Friday August 28th with Miss Fluffy Souffle and Duffy Souffle and will be shakingmy arse at INSIDE OUTS the GAY FLAMBE on Sunday September 13th.
